The Caribbean Health Tourism & Spa Symposium is scheduled for May 13 -14, 2007 at the Hilton Kingston Jamaica hotel. This event is endorsed by the Jamaican Ministry of Tourism Entertainment & Culture and the world renowned Day Spa and International Medical Spa Associations. It is sponsored by the Jamaica Tourist Board, Jamaica Trade and Invest (JAMPRO), the Jamaica Gleaner Company Ltd., and The Hilton Kingston Jamaica Hotel. Jamaica is the headquarters of the Resort & Day Spa Association and the Caribbean Chapter of the International Medical Spa Associations, which are established under the umbrella of Positive Tourism Limited, producer of the annual Caribbean Health Tourism & Spa Symposium.

The following islands comprise the domain of the Caribbean Chapters: Jamaica, Antigua, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Bahamas & US Virgin Islands.

Caribbean Health Tourism.com is considered the portal for Caribbean Health Tourism, this is evidenced by its position in Googles by appearing in the top 5 listing using the following key words: Caribbean Spa Tourism, Caribbean Health Tourism & Caribbean Medical Tourism.

Due to our International alliances, individuals, companies, associations and organizations that join the Resort & Day Spa Association Caribbean Chapters (www.ResortDaySpa.com) immediately have access to a worldwide network of chapter association members for example: United States, Philippines, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia, and Latin America and Europe.

Caribbean chapters of the Resort & Day Spa Association (RDSA) and the the International Medical Spa Association are professional organizations that advance and promote the business interests of the spa and wellness industries, keeping them abreast of the latest spa trends through educational training seminars and workshops.

As a result of the rapid expansion of the emerging Health Tourism sector and the pioneering efforts of the producers of the Caribbean Health Tourism & Spa Symposium in positioning Jamaica as a Health and Spa destination, its executives had been invited in May 2006 to represent Jamaica at the Alternative Health & Wellness Conference of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C. and more recently have been invited by the Caribbean Tourism Organization to attend the 9th Annual Caribbean Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development to be held in the Cayman Islands May 21-25, 2007.

Sharon Parris-Chambers, Executive Director, Resort & Day Spa Association & International Medical Spa Association - Caribbean Chapters in February 2007 represented the Caribbean Chapters at the international meeting of the Executive Board of the Day Spa & International Medical Spa Association in Las Vegas, Nevada to review and implement policies and strategies for the standardization and operation of their chapters around the world and to attend the Day Spa Expo & Business Forum.

The Day Spa and International Medical Spa Associations have chapters in the USA, Caribbean, Latin America, Asia and Europe.
